Terms of Service

Welcome to MAUZO POS. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our point of sale and inventory management system.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using MAUZO POS (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

MAUZO POS provides:

• Point of Sale (POS) software for retail transactions
• Inventory management and tracking
• Multi-store management capabilities
• Staff and user management
• Sales reporting and analytics
• Customer management
• Supplier management
• Financial reporting

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts to use our Service.

3.2 Account Information

When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information
• Keep your password confidential
• Be responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

3.3 Phone Verification

You agree to provide and verify a valid phone number. This number may be used for:

• Account verification and security
• Password recovery
• Important system notifications
• Two-factor authentication

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

4.1 Subscription Tiers

MAUZO POS offers various subscription plans with different features and limitations regarding stores, staff, products, and functionality.

4.2 Payment Terms

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• All fees are in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) unless otherwise stated
• Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

4.3 Free Trial

If applicable, free trial terms will be specified at sign-up. At trial end, you will be charged unless you cancel.

5. User Responsibilities

5.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use MAUZO POS only for lawful business purposes. You will NOT:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems
• Reverse engineer the software
• Resell or redistribute the Service
• Use the Service to harm others
• Input false or misleading data

5.2 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you input into the system, including but not limited to:

• Product information and pricing
• Customer data
• Financial transactions
• Inventory records

5.3 Staff Management

You are responsible for:

• Managing user accounts and access levels
• Ensuring staff use the system appropriately
• Maintaining security of login credentials
• Promptly removing access for terminated employees

6. Data Ownership & Backup

6.1 Your Data

You retain all rights to your business data. We claim no ownership over your:

• Sales records
• Customer information
• Inventory data
• Financial reports
• Business intelligence

6.2 Data Backup

While we perform regular backups:

• You should maintain your own backup copies
• We are not liable for data loss
• Backup restoration may take time
• You can export your data at any time

6.3 Data Retention

Upon account termination:

• Your data will be retained for 30 days
• You can request data export during this period
• After 30 days, data may be permanently deleted

7. Service Availability

7.1 Uptime

While we strive for 99.9% uptime:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced
• Emergency maintenance may occur without notice

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

MAUZO POS, including all software, designs, graphics, and content, is owned by Habari Technology and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

8.2 License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your business purposes only.

9. Prohibited Activities

You may NOT:

• Share your account with multiple businesses
• Exceed your subscription limits without upgrading
• Use automated tools to scrape data
• Compete with our Service using our technology
• Circumvent access restrictions or security features

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Contacting support
• Following in-app cancellation procedures

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Pose a security risk

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• MAUZO POS is provided "AS IS" without warranties
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed fees paid in the last 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party integrations
• You are responsible for compliance with tax and regulatory requirements

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Habari Technology from claims arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Violation of these Terms
• Infringement of third-party rights
• Your business operations

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be:

• Posted on this page
• Notified via email for material changes
• Effective 30 days after posting

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Dar es Salaam.
